Reviewers

What a review means, and what it does not

Every page here is assembled from the recruiting body's own notification, and every figure on it is checked against that document before it publishes. That happens on every page, reviewed or not.

A review is the step after: a named person opens the page, reads it against the notice it was built from, and signs it. The foot of each recruitment page says which of the two it has had — and when a board changes something afterwards, the update goes out automatically and the page says that too, until somebody reads it again.

We do not claim that every page has been read by a person. Most recruitment pages update themselves the day a notice moves, and pretending an editor saw each of those would be the easiest sentence to write and the easiest one to disprove. Each page states its own position instead.

The rules a review is carried out against are on the editorial policy page. If something is wrong, the corrections route is the fastest way to get it fixed.
