CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad has invited online applications for Technician posts. This is Advertisement No. 01/2026, dated 05.09.2026. There are 21 posts across nine different trades.

7. Click 'Final Submit' before the last date. You cannot change the form after this.
8. Print your submitted application and keep it safe. Do not post a hard copy.

• EWS Income and Asset Certificate, issued on or after 01.04.2026
• Disability Certificate (Form V, VI, or VII), for PwBD candidates
• Discharge Certificate, for Ex-Servicemen
• Court judgement and affidavit, if you are a widow, divorced, or judicially separated woman claiming age relaxation
• No Objection Certificate from your employer, if you already work in CSIR, Government, or a PSU
• Age concession certificate, for regular CSIR/Government/PSU employees, if applicable

Eligibility

Educational Qualification

SSC/10th Standard with Science subjects, minimum 55% marks with ITI Certificate/National or State Trade Certificate in the respective trade, OR 2 years apprentice experience, OR 3 years work experience in the relevant trade

Qualification equivalence must be supported with documentary proof; date of acquisition of qualification determined by date of Provisional Certificate/Notification of Result/Award Date

Exam Pattern

Selection has two stages. First is a Trade Test. Second is a Competitive Written Examination with three papers.

• Total questions in the exam: 150
• Total time for the exam: 2 hours 30 minutes
• PwBD candidates using a scribe get 20 extra minutes per hour of exam
