The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released Advertisement No. E/37/2026-C-2 on 10.09.2026. This notice is for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2026.

This exam fills three types of posts: Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police, Sub-Inspector (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF. The total number of vacancies is 1871.

The exam will be conducted at 9 Regional Offices of SSC.

How to Apply

The application mode is fully online. Follow these steps.

  1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the Commission's website; OTR from the old website will not work.
  2. After OTR, fill in the Online Application Form for the Examination.
  3. Submit the Application Form only in online mode, either on the SSC website or through the 'mySSC' mobile app.
  4. While completing OTR, opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication if possible.
  5. If not opting for a pre-existing photo, take a live photograph as prompted (good light, plain background, no cap, mask or glasses, face fully inside the frame).
  6. Upload your scanned signature in JPEG format, 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm width by 2.0 cm height.
  7. Before final submission, check all details, photograph and signature using the Preview/Print option.
  8. Pay the application fee online, if not exempted, by 01.10.2026 (23:00 hrs).
  9. If needed, use the Correction Window from 08.10.2026 to 10.10.2026 to correct your application by paying the correction charge online.

  • Two recent passport size colour photographs
  • Original valid Photo-ID proof, such as Voter ID, Driving License, PAN, Passport, School/College ID, Employer ID, Ex-serviceman Discharge Book, or other Government photo ID
  • If Photo ID has no date of birth printed, bring an additional DOB proof, such as Matriculation Certificate, Marksheet, Birth Certificate, or Category Certificate
  • For OTR without Aadhaar authentication: Name proof, Date of birth proof, Address proof, Photograph, Gender proof documents

Important Instructions

  • Only one online application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications will lead to rejection or cancellation of candidature.
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, nor adjusted against any other examination.
  • Write your name and date of birth strictly as recorded in your Matriculation/Secondary certificate; a mismatch can lead to disqualification.
  • Your photograph must be a live capture, clear, full frontal view, without cap, mask or spectacles, except for Aadhaar-authenticated candidates.
  • Submit your online application well before the closing date to avoid last-minute website load issues; the Commission is not responsible for failure to submit due to such reasons.
  • After the Correction Window closes, no further change or correction will be allowed under any circumstances.

The post carries pay at Level-6 of the pay matrix, Rs.35,400 to Rs.1,12,400.
